Recognition and Validation

Child Survival India met all the listing criteria and qualified for listing on the GIVE Online Channel, (supported by ICICI Ltd), in the year 2001. CSI is one of the first few of the 120 NGOs listed on the site . Since the year 2003, Child Survival India has also been listed on GIVE Foundation’s new site ‘Give World’ directed at the Indian Diaspora in the US and UK.

Credibility Alliance is a group of over 100 organisations, including networks, reaching out to over 10,000 NGOs, which has been formed to promote greater transparency and accountability in the NGO sector. Credibility Alliance has put together minimum and desirable norms for enhancing credibility in the non-profit sector. We are one of the 100 NGOs in the country that have met these credibility alliance norms.

Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), with the support of the Planning Commission Govt. of India validated Child Survival India during the year 2002. A total of 1500 NGOs in India were validated on the basis of financial ratios, legal documentation, and impact profile. We obtained a fairly good score and was included by CAF in its choice list of NGOs for whom they proposed to do fundraising.
