Project Status:
Ongoing Since October’2007

Target Group :
Total Population : 17000 Eligible couples in 15-45 yrs age group : 1862 Adolescent girls & boys; children under the age of 2yrs.


Objectives:

  • To promote planned parenthood amongst the eligible couples and prevent unwanted pregnancies.
  • To promote safe motherhood by focusing on antenatal care, safe delivery services and post natal care of all eligible women.
  • To promote/provide child survival services for newborns and infants.
  • To develop and affective referral system with the govt./non govt. RCH services in the area and mobilize community for optimum utilization of available RCH and MCH services.


Project Brief:
Some of the key project activities are immunization of infants & ANC women; health education and service provision on contraception, ANC & PNC check up; health education camps; community mobilization activities like street plays, film shows etc; community workshops for adolescents and capacity building of local dais. Networking & linkages with existing public health facilities like local hospitals , IPP8 maternity centers ,MCH centers etc. to develop an effective referral system with the existing public health facilities so that there optimum utilization of the available RCH and MCH services.
