Light Bulb Memoirs

• Last Sunday of September (27th Sep’2009) saw the opening of “Light Bulb Memoirs”, an exhibition of renowned painters and photographers, who generously contributed their works in aid of an NGO Child Survival India. The event was planned to raise funds for building safe caring spaces for children and adults living with HIV/AIDS.It was a unique exhibition that brought together ace photographers like Padma Shri Raghu Rai, Dinesh Khanna, Prashant Panjiar, Ram Rahman and painters like Arpana Caur.
• The exhibition also provided a platform to the slum kids from CSI’s learning centers to display some of the photographs clicked by them during the photography workshops that imparted them hands on training and exposed them to an alternative vocation.

CSI bags the Chief Minister’s award for its GRC program

• On 14th Aug’2009, on the eve of the independence day, Child Survival India bagged an award from Delhi Chief Minister Smt Shiela Dikshit for its GRC project. The Organization was awarded for its distinguished work of survey of Below Poverty Line families in North West Delhi.
