Objectives:

• To contact Long distance truckers to enhance their knowledge on STI/HIV/AIDS and motivate them to adopt safe sexual practices.
• To treat STI among Long Distance Truckers’s at the project site within the halt point.
• To promote condoms through social marketing among LDT.
• To increase the involvement of CBO in the planning, management and Monitoring of the project programs.

Project Brief:
The program focuses on 4 major strategies :

• Behaviour change Communication: Highlight of the program is KP- led IPC (Inter-personal Communications) as a form of Behavior Change communication involving peers from the key population. Street Plays / Exhibition/health games are conducted in and around the extension clinics.
  
• STI Diagnosis and Treatment : Static clinic and clinic extensions (based in transporter/broker offices) are used for treatment and Diagnosis of STI's and General ailments.
  
• Condom Promotion : Condom promotion is done through condom retailers and CVM. The outlets are linked with PSI/HLL/DKT for refilling.
  
• Community Mobilization: The transporters/ brokers at the project site are sensitized to provide space for programs, encourage truckers to seek health services and support in all project activities.
