Project Brief:
STI and HIV/AIDS education and services are being imparted to FSWs through interpersonal
communication, group sessions ,and infotainment
activities/ events like street plays, video shows, poster exhibitions, health games
and health quiz etc and part time clinics, so as to reduce their vulnerability to
HIV, promote behaviour change and improve treatment seeking behaviour, especially
related to STI treatment .Creating an enabling environment by doing advocacy with
police, pimps etc. and mobilizing and empowering FSWs to form their own CBO is also
an integral part of the project.
